Lexroom is a legal AI platform for civil-law Europe, founded in Milan in 2023 by Paolo Fois (CEO), Martina Domenicali, and Andrea Lonza. It covers legal research against verified sources, document analysis (summaries, critical points, clause extraction), and drafting from scratch, templates, or a firm's own examples, with a native Microsoft Word add-in installed from the Word add-ins store.
Rather than operating as a jurisdiction-neutral assistant, Lexroom maintains dedicated databases per market — it reports a proprietary corpus of roughly six million verified legal materials — and grounds answers in those sources so users can trace output back to the original document. Practice coverage is strongest in civil, commercial, privacy, banking, and labour law. The product is live in Italy, Spain, and Germany, with offices in Milan, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, and Berlin.
Customers span individual professionals (lawyers, notaries, accountants, labour consultants) as well as firms, companies, and public administration bodies. Lexroom reported over 8,000 law firms and corporate legal teams as of its May 2026 Series B — a $50M round led by Left Lane Capital, following a $19M Series A led by Base10 Partners in September 2025.
On data handling, Lexroom states that documents uploaded to a user's private library and the questions users ask are never used to train AI models, that it operates a zero-retention policy with its providers (it names OpenAI's API, Google Cloud, and Azure), and that data is hosted on EU-only servers. The company reports ISO 27001 certification and GDPR compliance.
Lexroom's FAQ states there is no standard price: the entry point advertised on its site is EUR 75/month for one module and one user, and everything above that is quoted based on active users and modules.
