OpenAI's Enterprise and API tiers carry a contractual zero-data-retention policy and do not train on customer inputs; this differs from the consumer ChatGPT Free and Plus tiers, which may train on conversations by default unless a user opts out — a distinction that matters for lawyers who might otherwise use a personal Plus account on client matters.
